The Clown Triggerfish  (Balistoides conspicillum) is a beautiful fish with striking patterns and shapes across it's stocky body, colored in white, black, and yellow. The head is one third the length of body and has teeth that grow threw out it's life, requiring hard food, like shellfish, to grinf them down.

The Clown Triggerfish is a very aggressive fish and will eat small fish, shrimp, clams, corals and other invertebrates and should not be kept with reef creatures.

In the wild it is found in clear water along the edge of reefs, from close to the surface, down to around 220 feet deep. When threaten or when tyrng to impress it will raise it's first dorsal spine.
